I tried to grow a butterflies magnolia but it died, so they replaced it with a galaxy ? not sure it did not have a lable but that nursury sells galaxy.
It’s so disappointing to lose a tree. We lost a 30 year old magnolia stellata a few years back. It was almost like losing a friend.
I grew this magnolia from a one quart pot, if you can believe it! It has really been through a lot. It lost its entire top during an ice storm 11 years ago. It looked so horrible that I almost took it down but it has gradually regained its shape. It must be time for another ice storm.
