Happy July 4th

Petunia Pot

For those that remember my story a few posts back about “Pollinator Pots”–the blueberry bushes with the petunias and the zinnias thrown in (which have filled out gloriously in the summer heat, by the way), you may also recall that those annuals in with the blueberries were remnants of a large pot I planted on my front lawn at the Spoiler’s request. I had shortly been backed over by a visitor and I lamented about its replacement, wondering how long it would last.

This is its replacement and I’m happy to say it’s lasted all of 6 weeks so far. The Spoiler is thrilled–he likes it so much better than the original. And while it’s not quite as good for the pollinators, it is colorful–and patriotic!
