Wordless Wednesday–Autumnal Palette

Fall Front Yard

My very long time readers may remember a similar shot of this scene from last year when I was showcasing the begonia grandis alba–those are the white perennial begonias sprouting from every nook in and around my front steps.

For whatever reason, this year my entire planting–all season long–has been very autumnal. I bought perennials in deep colors and mums in deep colors and tropicals in very fall-like shades. Some years are just like that I guess. Wonder what I was thinking?

At least now I’m right in season!

That is the most awesome display of Begonia grandis I have ever seen!

Thank you so much! I wish I could take credit but the begonias do all the work. I just let them go to seed every year and they self-sow into the cracks in my steps. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
